Small-school defender making a big impression
Jefferson High School may play in the second-smallest classification in the state of Texas, but that hasn't stopped them from producing plenty of talent, especially in the class of 2010.
The small East Texas school has no less than four juniors who are legitimate Division I prospects. However, defensive end Clarence Lee looks to be the best of the bunch. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound defender had a chance to travel to College Station this past weekend to take in a junior day at Texas A&M.
"It was great," said Lee. "They showed us around campus and took us on a tour and then we talked about football. We talked to our position coach and about the recruiting process and everything and then we went to the basketball game."
Lee said he had a chance to speak one-on-one at length with his position coach.
