One of the top safety prospects in Miami Dade County is Carol City's Teandric Slocum. The 6 foot 1, 180-pound Slocum plays fast and physical and has garnered one offer.

"I have an offer from FIU," said Slocum. "I went to one of their practices and really liked it. I am going to go to some of their games."

Which coach do you talk to from FIU?

"When I have the time I call Coach Cristobal and talk to him."

What are you looking for in a school?

"I am looking for quality coaches and good academics. I want a program that will push me to achieve more wherever I go."

Slocum and his Carol City teammates take one Miami Northwestern this Friday.
