PLAYERS TO WATCH:
THE OUTLOOK No QB - no problem.
Apopka has not scored less than 44 points since then and has steamrolled people by an average of 56-14 - behind the running of Robert Thomas, Daquon Isom and a front line that opens holes big enough for a Mack Truck to drive through.
Leading that line is junior Martez Ivey who has college scouts anxious for the class of 2015 to get here.
On the flip side, West Orange is a dual-threat offense led by RB Jamarcus Federick the fourth-leading rusher in the area for big schools - according to the Orlando Sentinel - with 818 yards in five games (averaging 163.6 ypg).
QB Hayden Griffitts is averaging 199 yards a game passing and likes to throw to Kentucky commit Garrett Johnson (28 catches, 486 yards) and Eddie McDoom (14-229). Chandler Cox took over for Zack Darlington and doesn't throw much, but why would you with the stable of weapons the Darters have.
It's a test of two prolific offenses against two pretty good defenses. While West Orange has the weapons to score quickly, Apopka has faced the tougher competition and the quick-strike offense.
Our nod goes to the defending 8A state champion Blue Darters - 41-29
