After 13 years, Escambia would find a way to defeat Pensacola 35-14, and improve to 5-0 (2-0 in District) on the season.
The Gators started off fast with a 67 yard TD Run by Danikiee Hollowell to take the early 6-0 lead, then capitalize on a Tigers Bad snap where Logan Walden would recover the fumble and take it to the house on a 77 yard run.
Pensacola would battle back with a two yard TD run of their own, but penalties and turnovers would cost Pensacola throughout the night and Escambia's tenacity would secure the Gators win. Pensacola drops to 1-5 (1-1 in District) on the season.
Tate High School would give Niceville its toughest battle of the season, holding the Eagle Offense to only 7 points in the first half, and kept it in striking distance with a 7-3 halftime score.
In the second half, the depth of the Eagles would take over and take care of business winning 28-6.
The Eagle defense held Tate (4-2) to two field goals
Both teams must still play Crestview.
Speaking of the Bulldogs, Crestview blew by Tallahassee Lincoln 49-21behind sophomore QB Corey Armstrong and his two touchdown passes.
