Providence-Trinity Christian - winner is district champ, loser is runner-up.
Winner of Father Lopez/Trinity Catholic game is the champion, loser is the runner-up.
Holy Trinity and Melbourne Central Catholic have 2-0 records. Orangewood Christian is 1-1 and First Academy is 1-2. Holy Trinity eliminates First Academy with a win on Friday and MCC can eliminate Orangewood with a win - setting up next week's game as the district championship.
Four teams still alive -with Tampa Catholic in the driver's seat. The Crusaders can knock out Lakeland Christian with a win Friday. A Viking win gives them the inside track - sort of. Frostproof and Fort Meade also play Friday with the loser likely out of the hunt. If Fort Meade and Lakeland Christian win, it's really interesting since there is a three-way tie. Same with Frostproof and Lakeland Christian if both win (Tampa Catholic is the third in each scenario).
Clearwater Central Catholic is in the driver's seat with a 3-0 record. St. Pete Catholic is 2-1 and Admiral Farragut is 1-1. Farragut has CCC this week and needs a win to stay alive. A loss all but eliminates the Blue Jackets. St. Pete Catholic holds the tiebreaker on Admiral Farragut and has to beat Calvary Christian Nov. 1 to clinch a berth. All CCC has to do is win and they're the district champs.
Winner of Bishop Verot/Cardinal Mooney game is the district champ, loser is the runner-up.
Next week is the defining moment. Cardinal Newman can eliminate American Heritage with a win. The Stallions have to beat Cardinal Newman to stay alive and create a possible three-way tie with Pahokee. If Pahokee beats Kings Academy - the Blue Devils are in.
It's a two-team district - so Westminster Christian is the district champ and Chaminade is the runner-up.
