Franklin Continues to Move Quietly
Of the numerous heavily recruited linebackers that were on campus for Oklahoma's spring game the one who seemed to slip in and out of Norman without much fanfare is Marshall, Texas standout Aaron Franklin. The 6-foot-1, 215-pound linebacker has made something of a habit of sliding under the radar as he picked up one offer after another following his injury ravaged junior season.
The star linebacker, who holds offers from Oklahoma as well as Oklahoma State, Baylor, Texas A&M, TCU, Texas Tech, Stanford, and Nebraska among several others, took his first trip to Norman for Oklahoma's Red-White game.
According to three-sport Marshall star al went well during his trip north of the Red River.
"I liked the campus, everything is close so it's not going to be a big adjustment. The dorm, the school, and the field it is all right there. It won't be a big hassle of trying to figure things out. It has a nice college feeling but it's not overwhelming," Franklin said.
"I toured some of the facilities with coach Brent Venables and coach Josh Heupel. Coach Venables was saying he thinks I fit in because they are losing four or five linebackers and he thinks I'd have a good chance since they are low on numbers. And he said it would be a good place because of how they work and the chance to get a good education."
