Manatee, Dwyer, Lincoln 1-2-3 in Top 25

The latest FlaVarsity Top 25 could be a precursor to what's ahead in the the playoffs as teams start pushing for playoff spots this week.

Manatee remains the unanimous choice for No. 1 - collecting all 11 first place votes - followed by Palm Beach Gardens Dwyer and Tallahassee Lincoln. All three have been in these same spots for the last four weeks - and all three are 7A schools.

No. 4 Miami Booker T. Washington(4A), No. 5 American Heritage-Delray(3A) and No. 6 Jacksonville First Coast(7A) also held their positions. The Tornados and Stallions had a week off while First Coast rallied from 13 points down to beat Fleming Island 19-16.

Gainesville (6A) moved to the No. 7 spot - vacated by a rapidly-falling St. Thomas Aquinas (7A) - which lost its second game in three outings, falling to Miramar 27-24 in 2 OT.

At No. 8 is Davie University School(3A) - a 47-20 winner over Chaminade Prep and the Suns jumped over No. 9 Armwood (4A) which struggled for the second straight week - trailing Sickles for most of the game before winning 20-16. Miami Central (6A) checks in at No. 10.

Neptune Beach Fletcher (8A) tumbled 12 spots to No. 24 after losing at home to Deland 30-28 - but remained in the poll. Winter Haven (6A) - a 24-21 loser to Lake Gibson - fell out of the rankings and was replaced by American Heritage-Plantation (5A) at No. 25.
