Earlier this year - Godby and Wakulla squared off, along with Lakewood and Robinson. As did Bishop Kenny and Baker County... as did Miami Jackson and Miami Norland.

Seems like old times.

The prognosticator machine was broken as we went 13-3 in 5A - but we're back with our best guess as to who's going to advance.

And here it is.

Godby (10-1) at Wakulla (11-0)

The Skinny: A matchup of two FlaVarsity Top 25 teams, Godby's one loss on the season came to none other than Wakulla when the two teams met in back in early November. It's a loss that Godby that's still sour in the mouths of the Cougars. This is a matchup that is almost too close to call, anytime these two teams meet you can throw all the stats out the window, it will come down to who can play the most mistake free football. Both teams love to run the ball but can put it in the air when they need too. Godby's junior QB J.T. Bradwell has had great success throwing the ball passing for close to 2,000 yards and 18 touchdowns this season. For the Cougars to win this game they need Bradwell to have a big game. Wakulla has freshman phenom Keith Gavin
PLAYERS TO WATCH: GODBY - ATH Khalid Thomas, LB Lester Thomas. WAKULLA - DB Mikal Cromartie, RB Demetrius Lindsey.

Prediction: WAKULLA

Bishop Kenny (8-3) at Baker County (9-2) The Skinny: Bishop Kenny came out with a huge road win over Ponte Vedra and will stay in Northeast Florida when they travel to Baker County. When these two teams met in October it was for the District crown, a game that belonged to Baker County in 49-35 victory. It's always tough to beat a team twice in one season but Baker County certainly has the ability to pull this off and being at home will be a huge advantage. The Wildcats will need to string together some clock-eating offensive possessions to keep the Crusader's offense off the field, but if this turns into a scoring fest it will benefit Florida commitment Ahmad Fulwood and the Crusaders.
PLAYERS TO WATCH - BISHOP KENNY: RB Cameron Singletary, QB John Wolford. BAKER COUNTY - QB Corey Lawler, RB Falon Lee
Prediction: BAKER COUNTY

Eastside (6-5) at Pasco (11-0)

The Skinny: Pasco continues to take care of business doing it on both sides of the ball. Last year the Pirates made it to the semifinals only to fall to Wakulla in triple overtime. This week they face an Eastside team that will need to find a way to make some big plays against a Pasco defense that is holding its opponents to a mere six points a game. Pasco has averaged over 200 yards a game on the ground with senior running backs David Emmanuel and Janarion Grant leading the way. The Rams strong point however is throwing the ball so establishing a passing game early on will be the key for any shot in this game.
PLAYERS TO WATCH: EASTSIDE - ATH Sir Jackson. PASCO - Grant, Emanuel

Prediction: PASCO

Lakewood (10-1) at Robinson (10-1) The Skinny: The Spartans key to success this season has been the play of their offensive line that has pushed around opposing defenses this season with the except for one team - Robinson. Spartan Quarterback Tracy Johnson had little to no time to establish the offense, as Lakewood had no answer for Robinson's defensive front earlier this season. Robinson has scored first in every game this season so Lakewood will need to make a statement early to pull off the win. Expect this game to be a grind it out close matchup.
PLAYERS TO WATCH: LAKEWOOD - WR Rodney Adams, DB Shaquill Griffin. ROBINSON - QB Zain Gilmore, DT Bruce Hector
Prediction: ROBINSON

Palmetto(9-2) at Lake Wales (7-4) The Skinny: Both teams went on the road last week to advance to the second round and Palmetto will now travel to Lake Wales this week. The Highlanders have had an up and down season beating teams like Immokalee but losing to an Auburndale team who Palmetto had no problems with last week. The Highlanders are a physical team who loves to run the ball while Palmetto will turn to its sophomore quarterback,Chris Tuten and Rutgers commit Cory Crawford to make some big plays.
PLAYERS TO WATCH: PALMETTO - Shaquille Harris, LB Darien Anderson. LAKE WALES - DT Bobby Leath, DL Deshaun Dunn
Prediction: PALMETTO

East Lee County(7-3) at Immokalee (8-4) The Skinny: East Lee County has already had its most successful football season in the programs short history but will now be put to the test against Immokalee. The Jaguars will be huge underdogs in this contest as Immokalee has a full roster of division 1 talent. However, injuries throughout the season have caused some disruption in the Indian's chemistry. East Lee County has just two starts weighing over 200 pounds but the Jaguars are a close-knit bunch and know what's at stake. PLAYERS TO WATCH: EAST LEE COUNTY- DE Sheldon Fleming, QB Winfred Ward. IMMOKALEE - Tshumbi Johnson, Mackensie Alexander
Prediction: IMMOKALEE

Merritt Island (10-1) at Glades Central (7-4)

The Skinny: Glades Central blanked the Mustangs last post season and will now have the advantage of playing the Mustangs at home this year. That's not to say that the Mustangs aren't much improved from last season but Glades Central seems to be peaking at just the right time - having won seven games in a row.. Glades Central has had problem in the past with a team that can run the football effectively and that just isn't Merritt Island's type of game. This game with be a lot more competitive than last year but Glades Central will find a way to pull out the win.
PLAYERS TO WATCH MERRITT ISLAND - QB Nick Smith, RB Taquan Kelly. GLADES CENTRAL - ATH Will Likely, LB Aaron Baker

Miami Jackson (6-4) at Miami Norland (9-2) The Skinny: : The last time these two teams met Norland pulled away with 14 points in the fourth quarter to win 23-3. The Generals are coming off of a huge upset victory over American Heritage and will now get another crack at Norland and their vaunting defense. The Vikings have had their fair share of problems on offense but has put together a decent rushing attack led by LaKeith Stafford. These two teams know exactly what to expect from each other and unless Jackson can put up a few scores early the Vikings will find a way to pull this one out.
PLAYERS TO WATCH: MIAMI JACKSON - DB Devondre Powell, ATH Nate Taylor. MIAMI NORLAND - DE Paul James, DE Torrin Young
Prediction: NORLAND
