A week ago we saw the resurgence of one program, Escambia, who is undefeated so far this season with a 4-0 record. This week another program put its stamp on a resurgence with a significant victory.

The Tate Aggies earned their second shutout victory in a row defeating Pine Forest tonight 35-0 in front of their home crowd.

Sophomore quarterback Sawyer Smith had four touchdown passes in the game, and gave a steady dose of Tay Samuel who had well over 100 yards rushing in the game

The play that sealed the deal for the Aggies was a 75 yard pick six by Rashan Johnson in the second half.

Tate improves their record to 4-1 on the year, and will face 5-0 Niceville, while Pinbe Forest drops to 0-5, and will face 1-4 Pace next week.

Tate's opponent next week, Niceville had an impressive 57-28 victory over Mississippi Greene County, and once again Eagles WR Tyre McCants started off the game with a big 97 yard kick return for the touchdown, his third game of the season where he returned a kick return for a score.

That would start a scoring spree that would give Niceville a 50-14 lead at halftime and finish the game with their fifth win of the season.

That game for the Eagles sets up Niceville vs Tate in Cantonment next week.
