Baker County takes on Bolles

THE OUTLOOKAfter starting the season with a 50-0 loss to rival Lake City-Columbia, the Baker County Wildcats have quietly ripped off four straight wins. Lawler has aptly filled the role of QB vacated by Thomas Sirk (Duke) and the O-line, led by Mills at center, has opened holes for Lee to get the running game going.
Facing off with the defending 4A state champion Bulldogs is a huge test for the 'Cats, who have their eyes on the playoff berth that was just out of reach last year, following a one-point loss to Clay and a three-point loss to Bishop Kenny.
The Bulldogs are healthy again - which is saying something, considering the rash of injuries Bolles had at the beginning of the season. Peters appears to be returning to pre-season form and Mitchell and Carter are running the wing-T to perfection.
Bolles will focus on stopping Lawler and getting to the senior QB - using McGhee and Zirzow at LB and DE respectively. it's a home game for the 'Dogs, which they rarely lose.
Still, we can't help but sense a possible upset here - as Baker County seems to be playing its best football in some time.
