Homestead wide receiver Ermon Lane was patient in the recruiting process.
For the Rivals four-star, the Florida Gators seemed like a great fit.
Lane has size, speed and great hands and is an impact player. The fact that he's rated as the state's top receiver - especially facing the speedy defensive backs in Miami-Dade week-in and week-out - is a testimony to his talent.
Lane and the Broncos look to challenge for a playoff berth, teaming up with Georgia commit Gilbert Johnson (6-foot-4, 190) to give Homestead opponents' secondary's nightmares.
Lane is ranked as the second-best wide receiver in the country, according to Rivals.com
"Lane is not a possession-type receiver," said Rivals analyst Kynon Codrington. "He's a guy that's going to make people around him better."
