Continuing our countdown of the top 50 players in the state of Florida for the class of 2014.
When Miami Central needed something to happen last year, they turned to Joseph Yearby.
A three-year starter for the Rockets - defending 6A champions - Yearby lined up in wildcat formation against Miami Booker T. Washington with the Rockets down by two scores.
Needless to say, the 'magic man' made it happen and Central never looked back.
Yearby originally verbally committed to Florida State but elected to follow his recruiter - James Coley, the new offensive coordinator for the Hurricanes - to Miami.
Yearby has speed, quickness and great moves. He can make you miss. His size may be the only question mark - as to his durability on the next level.
"On the field, Yearby brings big-time playmaking ability to the backfield," said Rivals analyst Kynon Codrington. "He has great linear speed and will lower the shoulder."
For now, Yearby and teammate Dalvin Cook are focused on taking the Rockets back to the state title game - and winning another ring.
