FlaVarsity analysts have reviewed the players, the film and the accolades and compiled our own Post-season countdown of the top 50 players in the state of Florida for the class of 2014.
We've hit the Top 20 players - just in time for signing day. Throughout the day we'll profile the 20 players from Florida that have made the biggest impact.
Treon Harris should borrow Skip Bayless' tired line about former NFL QB Tim Tebow "This kid's a winner. All he does is win." That's all Harris has done. In three years, the Booker T. Washington QB has won two state titles and played for a third. He led the Tornados to the state's longest current winning streak (26) and picked apart defenses like they were Swiss cheese. Four teams the Tornados beat with Harris at the helm, won a state championship this year. Will he play quarterback at Florida State is the bigger question. You've seen this type of athlete flourish at FSU - i.e. Charlie Ward and Casey Weldon. Harris is a coach's son and is a student of the game.
Harris can beat you with his arm, like he did Miami Central … or with his legs - like he did Bolles - twice. He is mobile and takes a hit. For his frame, he's a legitimate four-star quarterback.
