FlaVarsity analysts have reviewed the players, the film and the accolades and compiled our own Post-season countdown of the top 50 players in the state of Florida for the class of 2014.
Our list may vary a bit from the Rivals list - and we can appreciate that - even though we're all on the same team. Our analysts have NFL and Major College experience and see things a little differently from time to time.
Trevor Darling has the experience of a winning program and knows how to lead a running game. Miami Central has two running backs in the FlaVarsity Top 20 and Darling worked against some of the best defensive linemen in the country. He's shown the ability to stay with his man and uses his long arms to control a defender. His 6-5 frame allows form some muscle development. He shifts his feet very quickly and rarely comes out of his core stance. Hips sunk, arms extended - knees even with shoulders - textbook blocking.
