FlaVarsity analysts have reviewed the players, the film and the accolades and compiled our own Post-season countdown of the top 50 players in the state of Florida for the class of 2014.
Our list may vary a bit from the Rivals list - and we can appreciate that - even though we're all on the same team. Our analysts have NFL and Major College experience and see things a little differently from time to time.
There is not a doubt in my mind about the toughness of Trey Marshall. He suffered a freak injury against Tallahassee Lincoln early in the season, when a block ended up rupturing his stomach and put him in ICU. Marshall underwent emergency surgery, yet made it back on the field seven weeks later and helped the Tigers to the post-season. He's a hard-hitting cover safety with speed and agility. He roams the secondary like a ball-hawk and makes people pay for coming into his zone. He has two speeds - stop and full bore. He'll fit in fine with the hard-hitting Seminole secondary.
