FlaVarsity analysts have reviewed the players, the film and the accolades and compiled our own Post-season countdown of the top 50 players in the state of Florida for the class of 2014.
We've hit the Top 5. Here are the best of the best - the Rivals 5-stars.
Batman and Robin - The Ranger and Tonto… Miami Central for three years had the most lethal backfield in football and Cook was a big part of it.
So big that when teammate Joseph Yearby went down with a season-ending injury, Cook not only took his carries, he wore Yearby's number to honor his teammate. Cook was unstoppable in the Class 6A state title game against a pretty good Armwood defense that featured Rivals five-star DE Byron Cowart and FV100 member Kyle Gibson. Cook did that to almost every defense he faced for three years.
His break-away speed and cutback moves are solid as they come. He flipped his commitment from Florida to Florida State and doesn't appear to be changing. He's the total package at running back - and shows great second-step speed in the open field.
