FlaVarsity analysts have reviewed the players, the film and the accolades and compiled our own Post-season countdown of the top 50 players in the state of Florida for the class of 2014.
Our list may vary a bit from the Rivals list - and we can appreciate that - even though we're all on the same team. Our analysts have NFL and Major College experience and see things a little differently from time to time.
Battle is a lock-down corner who has gotten better each year. We saw him perform in the Blue-Grey All Star game and he was in shut-down mode - including a game-clinching interception. Battle breaks on the ball incredibly fast and doesn't overplay too often. He has deceptive speed, as his 6-2 frame allows him to use his leg length to out-leap and out-battle receivers - and close on them.
One thing he does very well is hit. He is a powerful hitter that makes receivers pay for coming into his neighborhood. He'll fit right in at LSU.
