FlaVarsity analysts have reviewed the players, the film and the accolades and compiled our own Post-season countdown of the top 50 players in the state of Florida for the class of 2014.
Our list may vary a bit from the Rivals list - and we can appreciate that - even though we're all on the same team. Our analysts have NFL and Major College experience and see things a little differently from time to time.
The strongside defensive end from Booker T Washington lined up opposite this year of five-star Chad Thomas. Jackson was flirting with taking some other visits, but has backed off of that and is solid with his Miami commitment. His official visit to Miami on January 17th locked him up to the hometown Canes. Jackson is the other half of book-end defensive ends that were dominant on Tornado opponents. His strength off the block and quickness off the ball made him a valuable asset. Don't be deceived - teams could ill afford to block Thomas and leave Jackson alone. His speed makes him lethal on the blitz.
