FlaVarsity analysts have reviewed the players, the film and the accolades and compiled our own Post-season countdown of the top 50 players in the state of Florida for the class of 2014.
We've hit the Top 20 players - just in time for signing day. Throughout the day we'll profile the 20 players from Florida that have made the biggest impact.
When Joseph Yearby came upon the scene in 2010, we knew he was special. A freshman RB playing for the 6A (now 8A) state champion. Throughout the four years at Miami Central, Yearby has been the catalyst. It was Yearby's move to wildcat that brought Central from behind against Booker T. Washington in 2012… Yearby's long run against Naples in 2012 that got the Rockets to the 6A title game.
At 5-9, Yearby is able to use his speed and cut-back ability to make people miss. He's not afraid of contact and get him in the open space and he's gone. Yearby's senior season was cut short by a broken bone in his leg. He has already begun training for 2014 - and word is - he's going to be just as fast and lethal.
