Godby safety Tony Fields has verbally committed to Indiana after finishing his recruiting process.
The Rivals three-star safety chose the Hoosiers over Missouri and others.
"I took a visit up there (to Bloomington, Ind.) up there during the season and I really liked it," Fields told FlaVarsity.com. "The campus is great, the experience was great and it was a great atmosphere."
Fields plans on majoring in business at IU and commented on the Kelly School of business.
"The business school is ranked as one of the top 10 in the country every year," Fields said. "That's my major and I'm excited."
Fields has been talking to new defensive coordinator Brian Knorr, who visited Godby Tuesday.
"Coach Knorr and I talked and this is the place for me," Fields said. "I feel like I can go there and be successful both in the classroom and on the field."
Godby coach Ronnie Cottrell said Fields is a tireless worker.
"He constantly works to get better," Cottrell said. "He's a tireless leader and one of the captains of our football team. He is a great student in the classroom and a student of the game."
