Godby, Wakulla clash in Big Bend

PLAYERS TO WATCH:
GODBY: ATH Khalid Thomas, WR Earl Calloway, DB Lester Thomas, DB Kenny McIrvin, RB Tim Longmire, WR Jamaul Vickers.
WAKULLA: OL Chris Griffin, RB Demetrius Lindsey, OL Jonathan Chunn, LB Fred Cummings, DB Mikal Cromartie, OL Caleb Brown, WR Jordan Franks.
THE OUTLOOK: Godby and Wakulla match up in a long-awaited clash between two teams that were odds-on favorites to be unbeaten going into week 10.
The War Eagles have found youth and experience - with SR QB Caleb Stephens hooking up with FR WR Keith Gavin (15 catches, 342 yds, 2 TD) on more than one occasion. Stephens has played through the pain of having a torn meniscus - and that has led to Feleipe Franks helping the War Eagles down the stretch.
Wakulla is incredibly balanced on the offensive side of the ball, with Lindsey and Dillon Norman running the ball effectively
On the flip side of things, Godby is stacked on the defensive side - with Lester Thomas (Florida Atlantic - 3 interceptions), Kenny McIrvin, and LB Corey Pressley (6.5 sacks this year) . That secondary will be tested tonight.
Offensively, the Cougars are led by Kentucky-bound Khalid Thomas. The 5-10, 175 pd. SR has 681 yards rushing, 191 yards receiving and ten touchdowns and is coming off a season-high 194 yards rushing against Gonzalez-Tate High School.
Behind the center for the Cougars is JR J.T. Bradwell (6-2, 200 pds) - averaging 195 yds passing per game. Like Wakulla, the Cougars have balance.
Defensively for the War Eagles, lock-down corner Mikal Cromartie will draw the assignment of stopping Khalid Thomas. Cromartie has three interceptions this year. LB Dalton Bohannon brings the pressure, with six sacks this year - to go with his 30 tackles and one fumble recovery.
So what determines this game? How do we pick a winner. We tried flipping a coin but it kept landing on its side. Both games last year between these two came down to the wire and we expect no less.
Prediction: Wakulla 24, Godby 21
