Henry has the speed and moves to turn heads

When looking for superb athletes in the state of Florida, you need to take a look in central Florida at Wesley Chapel high school. Davon Henry, the 5-foot-8, 160 pound student-athlete, has terrific athleticism and is one of the most underrated players in the state.
Henry is the epitome of what a "dual-threat" athlete should be. He can play running back, wide receiver, slot receiver, and corner back. He brings a lot of talent to the table, but was a little disappointed in his junior season.

"Our junior year was decent, but nothing special. We have some good players on our team so I expect much bigger things for our senior year. Overall, it went pretty well, but really could have been a lot better."
Although Henry didn't reach all his expectations for his junior year, his numbers were still quite impressive. He racked up 500 rushing yards, 300 receiving yards and added 9 total touchdowns. On defense he added an interception for a touchdown.
"My numbers were decent as a junior, but I got big goals for my senior year. I want to get my hands on the ball a lot and make some big plays. I want to have around 800 receiving yards and 1,000 rushing yards. Maybe I'll crack a 1,000 each."
Although it is early in his recruitment, Henry does claim one offer. He wasn't able to attend any Junior Days for exposure, but a certain university took notice from his junior film and sent him an early offer.
"Bryant University offered me awhile back. That was pretty cool. It was great getting that first offer and hopefully there are more to follow. I don't really have a top five right now, but I am very interested in Clemson, Oregon State, Iowa State, South Florida, and Middle Tennessee State. I have received information from all of those schools, except Clemson. I really would like to hear more from them."
Henry has an idea of some schools he would like to attend, but most importantly, he knows what he looks for in a school.
"Football success is very important. A winning program usually gets the players to the league and gives them the best opportunity for success. Graduation rate is probably the most important thing that I like for in a school. Football doesn't last forever."
When watching Henry, you will see that he is quick, shifty, and has very good moves in space. He models his game after a certain NFL receiver with similar attributes.
"DeSean Jackson is who I model my game after. I watch him and I see my speed and determination to be great. My moves in space are what separate me from other receivers. I think that when coaches see my quickness and athleticism, more offers will come. One thing I do want to improve on his my blocking. I have been really working hard on that because it is important."
Henry is talented on the field, as well as in the classroom. He maintains a 3.1 GPA and will be taking the ACT soon.
