Josh Harden rushed for 148 yards and had 88 second half kick return for TD to lead the come from behind victory for Heritage, as the Panthers downed Bayside 41-28.
Bayside lead the entire first half with the help of seven turnovers by Heritage.
The half time score was 21-14 Bayside. That lead quickly changed when Harden took the opening second half Kickoff back 88 yards for the tying score.
On the ensuing Bayside drive, Dedric Witherspoon picked off the next Bayside pass at the 30 yard line.
Heritage then used that momentum to get into the red zone again as Witherspoon carried two tacklers 5 yards on his back into the end zone for the first lead of the game for Heritage.
Bayside could not regain the momentum as Heritage turned on the sprinklers after a Josh Gaines run, they continued to pour on the scoring as they took a Final 41-28 lead for the 6a District 14 Title.
Heritage host Estero and Bayside will travel to play Naples in the first round of playoffs.
