The one thing Immokalee couldn't afford to do in the Class 5A state title game they did; and it's costing them.

Lester Thomas picked off Tshumbi Johnson two minutes later, leading to quarterback JT Bradwell's 6-yard score on a fake end around to increase their lead to 13-0 with 5:20 left in the half.
Florida State commit JC Jacksonreturned the ensuing kickoff 49-yards but the Indians couldn't take advantage of the great field position.
A bad low snap on a fourth down field goal attempt from the 5-yard line forced Johnson to scramble and make a play. Johnson's errant pass was picked off by Kelvin McIrvin in the end zone and returned to the 40-yard line with two minutes left in the first half to keep the Indians scoreless.
