GAINESVILLE -- The Florida High School Athletic Association released its tentative districts for 2013-14 and there will be some major landscape changes.
Manatee and First Coast, which met in the 2011 7A title game - both move up to 8A while Fletcher (8A) drops down to 7A.
Both University School and Madison County - a two-time 3A runner-up - move up to 4A and will compete with Bolles and Booker T. Washington as well as Cocoa.
Also moving up to 8A is Fort Pierce Central. 7A, however, didn't get any easier as 6A champion Miami Central is scheduled to move into 7A.
The longest road trip goes to Pensacola Catholic, which is in a grouping with Providence, Bishop Snyder, Trinity Christian and Episcopal School of Jacksonville - as well as St. Augustine's St. Joseph's Academy. Look for the Crusaders to petition to play in 4A or start looking into a team plane.
In class 1A, look for Fort Meade and Frostproof to make an immediate impact.
