Orlando DB gets offer, sets visit

Orlando (Fla.) cornerback Olympia Razzie Smith has always wanted to play college football. He comes from a long line of collegiate players and feels it is his destiny. Several schools have started to show recent interest and one has offered.
"Cincinnati, Toledo, Georgia Southern, Eastern Kentucky, and Illinois State have all called," he said. "I have had an in-home with Georgia Southern and two with Eastern Kentucky.

"Georgia Southern and Eastern Kentucky are recruiting me the hardest, and Eastern Kentucky has offered. I am going on an official visit to Georgia Southern on Jan. 14."
Smith's father and grandfather played football at South Carolina State University, while three uncles played at Southeast Missouri State. He also has two cousins –
Ronnie and Ricki Smith – currently at SEMO.
Cincinnati, Louisville, Toledo, and Marshall are Smith's top schools, but he is really just looking for a few specific things.
"Academics first, and after that I am just looking at the experience with the coaches and the winning of the program," he said.
At 5-foot-10 and 170 pounds, Smith runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds. As a senior he was used all over the field and recorded 32 tackles (16 solos and two for loss) and seven pass breakups. He also had 222 yards in kickoff returns and was named all-district first team. A very fast player, he runs track, including a 10.9-second 100-meter dash.
"I am similar to Charles Woodson," he said. "I am very agile, and I get to every play. I am a hard runner and a very good kickoff returner. I am very aggressive on the corner, and not afraid to come up and make a tackle. I love one-on-one coverage, because that's where you really get to show your skills. I love to stay on the field."
Smith will have no problems qualifying with a 3.3 GPA and a 940 on the SAT.
