Peters confidence is key to a big senior year

High school football recruiting has taken off over the past few years. It is a major phenomenon in the football world and with all the social media outlets, it has been taken to another level. Gulf high school athlete, Ty'Shon Peters, had to deal with the negative impacts of football recruiting and it cost him some of his junior year.
"I was at Gulf and was looking to head to a different school. In the end, we decided to stay at Gulf and my coach was accused of recruiting me back to Gulf. I can't comment on the outcome of everything, but due to the lengthy process, I missed 5 games. That was tough to deal with, but I am just looking past it and ready for a big senior year. I'll be playing cornerback and safety on defense and on offense I will be playing wide receiver and some wildcat quarterback. I have big expectations for this season. I want to get 2,500 all-purpose yards and 30 touchdowns."

The 6-foot-0, 210 pound cornerback wants to attend a big school and feels that he has the talent to head anywhere he wants.
"I didn't attend any junior days, but I have received some very good attention from some big schools. I am very high on Florida State, Oregon, Virginia, Miami and Iowa State. I like that all these schools play in some of the top conferences in America and each of these schools have big name players that I know. I don't have any offers at the moment, but I have been told that some schools are very close to offering, as long as I continue to pick up my grades. I get tutored daily and work really hard in the classroom."
Although he has been contacted by some very big schools, there are a few other schools that Peters would like to hear from.
"I would like to hear from Florida. They are an in state school that has really caught my attention. Also, I would like to hear from Ohio State and South Florida. They are both solid programs."
As a bigger corner, Peters has the size and strength to shutdown receivers at the high school level. He models his game after another shutdown corner, who may just be the best in the NFL at this moment.
"I love watching Darrelle Revis. I got that competitive attitude that he does and like him, I feel I can keep any receiver from making a catch. I'm not being cocky, as it's more of just having that confident swagger to be the best. I have a will to win that others don't have. I believe with hard work, I can be the best every time I step on the field on Friday night."
As a junior in the 5 games he was able to play, Peters passed for 400 yards, rushed for 150 yards, added 10 touchdowns and 1 interception.
