Fort Pierce Central Outside Linebacker Sharieff Rhaheed decommitted from LSU Monday, declaring his recruiting process 'wide open'.
"I'm in the process of looking at different schools, I have all of my options open," Rhaheed said. "LSU is out of the picture."
This is a big turn for Rhaheed, a 6-foot-4, 215 pound outside linebacker/defensive end.
"I really just want to see what my options are," Rhaheed said. "I've got to look out for the best possible chance."
Rhaheed has visited several schools since committing to LSU in March, but says that four schools are 'coming after me hard.'
Tennessee, Miami, Alabama and Arkansas were mentioned as 'on the shorter list' by Rhaheed.
"I really don't know what I'm going to do. I'm going to be a lot more careful this time and make sure the decision is the right one," said Rhaheed. "I just want a place where I can call home for the next four or five years. A family environment and a good education."
Rhaheed will attend a camp at Arkansas this weekend, but will not participate.
"The rest of my visits will be this fall," he said.
In-state schools USF and UCF have offered. Miami has not - as of yet.
"South Florida is talking to me a lot," Rhaheed said. "I liked my visit to Alabama and to Tennessee."
