Tampa Catholic linebacker Tre Watson will keep his diary for each week, and give us a perspective on the recruiting trail. His mother, Christa Phillips-Watson - will also contribute from a parent's perspective.
Here is week 15 - Out of the blue and MCC too!
The week kicked off with a blessing, my fifteenth scholarship offer!
Proud to have earned the opportunity from the Temple Owls to play Division 1 college football! It came quick, and out of nowhere, but they are definitely worth considering!
Temple brings plenty to the table, and as time progresses, I plan on getting to know a lot about them and hopefully taking a visit there. It also helps that they offered my close friend, Derrick Ingram, from Jefferson and we plan on making that visit together.
For right now though, it is time to focus on round 2 of the playoffs!!!
We handled our business last week and that is what we plan to do again Friday night at Melbourne Central Catholic. Execution will be key to our success, and we have the players necessary to dominate this game. We are coming to get it done.
Like our coach says, " Emotions are only going to last you so long!" That means we have to play 48 minutes of football like WE know WE can.
Melbourne CC hasn't seen a team like us yet this season. They haven't seen the combination of athleticism and intensity that we possess. So I look forward to the opportunity Friday night, since it would pave the way to my first experience advancing to the third round of the playoffs in high school!
A great opportunity on the perfect stage; now it's just what my team and I make of it! We want it most!
Be blessed and Go Crusaders!
