West Florida Tech goes 10-0 for first time this season

They were tested, but the West Florida Jaguars came away with a 41-28 victory over Class 1A power Northview in the final regular season matchup.
West Florida QB Joey Baker scored the first two Jaguar touchdowns on the groundin the firs half, while Northview's LaMikal Kyles scored on a three yard TD run to make the game 14-7 at the half.
Second half is when all the scoring took place for the two programs. West Florida would get contributions from Baker with three touchdown passes and another touchdown run, finishing the night with 309 passing yards and three TDs, and 92 yards rushing with another three TDs.
Baker finishes out the season with 2,821 yards through the air and 27 passing TDs. Northview's LaMikal Kyles would end up with 161 yards rushing and three touchdowns, while receiving four passes for 75 yards. Brannon Freeman would also score for the Chiefs on a 10 yard run to complete all of the scoring for the game.
Both teams are in playoff action as West Florida Tech will host Tallahassee Godby in the Class 5A Regionals, and Northview will host Cottondale in the 1A Regionals.
Navarre downs Gulf Breeze
The Beach Bowl Cup remains with Navarre for another year as the Raiders defeated Gulf Breeze 28-14.
The Raiders had solid play from their sophomore backup quarterback Matthew Webb, who played for the injured Andrew Rieves. Webb completed 9-16 passes for 180 yards and two td passes to Gatlin Casey.
It's the sixth straight year the Raiders have kept the cup in the battle of HWY 98.
It's also the eighth regualr season win in a row for the Raiders, capping off a 9-1 season and a District 2 6A Title.
Navarre's Johnny Robinson-Pettus scored the other two touchdowns for the Raiders with an 82 yard TD run and a one yard scamper.
Gulf Breeze's two scores came from a one yard TD run from Austin Dermody, and Xan Sarra would catch a 77 yard pass from Gray Dorsey for the other score.
Both teams are playoff bound, as Navarre will host Pace in the 6A Regionals Quaterfinals, while Gulf breeze will face Crawfordville Wakulla in the 5A First round matchup.
